Can we truly proclaim to love God when despise other who worship differently from us? – El-Rufai
Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai the Governor of Kaduna State has
said that Nigerians need to be cured of ‘dangerous illusion that they
can use religion to acquire preferment for themselves.’
El-Rufai who said this on Saturday during the Kaduna Centre for the Study of Christian-Muslim Relations’ graduation ceremony questioned that ‘Can we truly proclaim to love God when we so severely despise his other creations who worship differently from us?
According to tweets from @elrufai the governor said that ‘the rights of the citizen are clearly outlined in the Constitution, and they apply equally to all persons.
Govt is a facilitator and protector of rights to religious practice, and not an active participant and should certainly not spend public funds for religious purposes.
