Justice S. S. Ogunsanya of the Lagos
State High Court on Thursday June 11, sentenced one Osarenwinda Idahor (a.k.a
Ösas Idahor) to two years imprisonment on each of the two count charge
bordering on possession of document containing false pretence.
The convict was arrested by the Economic and Financial
Crimes Commission sequel to a petition from NASA OIG Computer Crimes Division
Goddard Space Flight Centre, United States, alleging that the suspect hacked
into NASA e-mail account to send scam messages for advance fee fraud.
Adverse weather conditions have been

An 18 seat bus that left a motor
park in Calabar, Cross Rivers state enroute Enugu was involved in a fatal
accident at Biase Local government in Cross Rivers state yesterday morning June
11th. 17 passengers in the bus died instantly while one passenger and the bus
driver survived with serious injuries. The Police arrived the scene where they
helped to remove the bodies which they deposited at the mortuary. Quite sad!

Africa's
richest man, Aliko Dangote paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Lagos
state, Akinwunmi Ambode earlier this week where he revealed that his company is
in the process of building a Gas Pipeline from Bonny to under the sea which
when done, will provide Lagos with 24hr power supply.
Speaking to
the press, Dangote said "I’ve assured him that we really love doing
business here, it’s a friendly state for doing business and also to assure him
of all the projects that we are doing that we are on course; that is building
the largest ever single refinery of 650,000 barrels per day, which is by far
more than the consumption of Nigeria and that would satisfy our consumption at
least for the next 7 to 10 years by the time we finish.
Also, we are building the largest
fertilizer plant of two to three million tonnes of Uranium and Amonia also in
the Lekki Free Trade Zone and assure him that we are going to do a Gas Pipeline
from Bonny to under the sea, in which when we finish, Lagos state will never
ever experience blackout, there would be electricity 24 hours a day.

commission meeting, president Buhari referred to the German Chancellor, Angela
Merkel as President Michelle and referred to Germany as West Germany

The coroner’s office in New Orleans
has identified the body of a 16-year-old girl who was found dead along
Interstate 10 last week. Kaylan Ward, 16, was hit and killed by a car while
walking or attempting to cross the interstate in the dark. Her body was found
in the right shoulder emergency lane of the highway. The preliminary cause of
death is multiple blunt force trauma.
