Oshoala, Falcons dominate African Women at CAF Awards
Nigeria international and Arsenal ladies striker Asisat Oshoala was named the 2016 African Female Footballer of the Year at the Glo CAF Awards ceremony in Abuja on Thursday.
The 22-year-old, who scored six goals at the last African Women championship, beat the duo of Cameroonian Gabrielle Ouguene and Ghanaian Elizabeth Addo to win the prestigious award.
Oshoala won the annual football award in 2014 after finishing as top scorer at the 2014 Women AFCON, but was dethroned the following year by the Cameroonian forward, Gaelle Enganamouit.
