TG Expo holds maiden edition of machinery, metal & steel exhibition

TG Expo, international trade fair organisers, says the first ever Machinery Metal & Steel, MMS, Exhibition to the industry professionals and government officials will hold this month in Lagos. The exhibition holds from the 18th to 20th October 2017.
The three days event will showcase products like pipes, tubes, wire, cables, sheet metal, environment protection, energy conservation, filtration and separation, nano-technologies, induction furnace and heat treatment, safety equipment and technology and smelting and refining in the industrial products industry to name a few.

MMS Nigeria is the only exhibition exclusive to metals, machinery and steel. The fair expects   to attract manufacturers and suppliers, machinery and technology professionals, equipment and technology professionals and technology services experts.
Base metals and metal products will be showcased at the exhibition as they are mainly used by oil and construction industry, where both the Nigerian government and private sector are heavily investing in.
Being a member state of ECOWAS, Nigeria acts as a trade gateway to other West African states. Nigeria, with its 1.1 Trillion USD GDP (PPP) and population of 186 million is the largest economy in Africa and due to recovering oil prices, Nigeria is expected to record positive growth rate in 2017.
A report of the Central Bank of Nigeria shows that Nigeria currently imports steel, aluminium products and associated derivatives of approximately 25 metric tonnes per annum from advanced countries estimated at $4.5billion.
