FRSC hold Enyimba Feeders in Super 8

Enyimba Feeders were held 1-1 by FRSC of Abuja in a thrilling encounter while Papilo FC beat Bida Lions 2-1 in the opening games of the Bet9ja Nigeria Nationwide League One Super 8 on Tuesday at the Agege Stadium, Lagos.
The Road Marshalls took a shock early lead, the impressive Olayinka Yusuf curling in a free-kick in the 5th minute but Paschal Eze grabbed the equaliser for Enyimba after the break.

Enyimba Feeders’ technical director Lawrence Ukaegbu is happy his side were able to rescue a point from the explosive game.
“I felt that this was a game we should have won despite conceding an early goal but I’m glad that we were still able to rescue a point after the pep talk we had in the dressing room,” the ex-junior international said.
In the other game, Kingsley Edwin put Papilo FC in front with a powerful strike from outside the box in the 12th minute but Hamza Sanni restored parity for Bida Lions from the spot in the 36th minute after Saheed Sulaiman was brought down in the box.
However, Njoku Uchenna made victory sure with a cool finish in the 59th minute to send Papilo’s fans into celebrations.
“We are happy with the outcome of the game. We won but Bida Lions are equally a very good team,” Papilo coach Ozoho Obinna said.
Adamu Gambo described his side’s loss as painful. “This is our first game and we hope to  bounce back in our next game against My People FC.”
The Bet9ja NLO Super 8 continues on Wednesday with A.S Racine of Lagos battling FRSC of Abuja while Bida Lions are hoping to bounce back with a win over My People FC.
